Congratulations to all the ladies who have become finalists in the 2014 RITA competition!
I love following the RITA awards. I feel it is always a great representation of current trends in the romance genre and it helps us see which authors, editors and publishers are in the thick of it all. Hopefully, one day my name will appear on it as well 😉
This year there were a few self-published works on the list which I felt was a nice change of pace. I don’t know about you, but as a reader, I have more self-published books from authors in my kindle library then I do traditionally published authors.
Like I did last year with the 2013 RITA Winners, I plan on following the authors on this list, reading their works (if I haven ‘t already) and paying attention to the editors and publishers. I feel that by doing so it helps me see how the inner workings of the romance genre is currently and what I should and shouldn’t be doing with my own works and marketing strategies.
So, without further ado, here is the list of the authors and their books that have been listed as the 2014 RITA finalists. I’ve included a link to the kindle versions of each book and the authors official websites.
