It’s about that time of year again.
The weather is getting warmer, the trees are getting greener and people are starting to plan their little vacation getaways.
What’s a vacation without a few good books to read?
A boring one in my mind!
So, if you are like me and are looking for something new to read on your trip or just looking for something to read at home might I suggest you browse through this list of RITA finalists?
What’s a RITA finalist?
I’m glad you asked!
A RITA finalist is an author who’s book has been selected to move onto the final phase of the RITA competition.
What is the RITA competition?
The RITA is an award given by the Romance Writers of American (RWA) to RWA members who enter into the RITA competition. It’s a yearly competition where up to 2,000 romance novels are entered covering a wide variety of sub genres in romance. For books to qualify for the RITA award they must have already been published. There are two rounds in the competition with the winners announced during the annual RWA convention. This isn’t just some simple no fuss award ceremony. It’s like the Oscars for romance writers. I hope to one day be sitting in that audience decked out in a fancy dress waiting breathlessly for my name to be called!
