After comparing this chart and the one from Amazon one thing has become clear to me… You don’t have to be a well known author or have one of the main publishing houses behind you to appear on the best sellers list. There was a surprising number of self published books and books published by small publishing companies. I wonder if there was more of those books on the list because they tend to be cheaper and have more “free” periods or if there was just that much more people who liked them.
What are your thoughts of the matter?
Do you feel the top sellers lists on Amazon and iBookstore represent top quality/content or better merchandising/marketing?Â
Do the lists show the books that want to be read/bought or the books that are more affordable/appealing to a buyers budget?
